Your wedding photos arrived – YAY!! You’ve relived the magic of your wedding day through your online gallery, but it not quite the experience you thought! Surely there is a better way to experience one of the most important days of your life? Well there is!
But first, lets make sure your wedding photos are backup securely.
Keeping your wedding photos safe
While a photo album is the best way to preserve your photos, we have a few suggestions and tips to ensure the safety of your precious wedding day memories.
1. Backup Storage
First and most importantly, after receiving your online wedding gallery, download your images to your computer. We recommend keeping 2-3 separate copies of your wedding gallery. One set of your wedding photos on your computer, a separate copy on a USB or hard drive and a third in cloud storage for safekeeping.
We recommend storing one of the backup copies in a fireproof safe, safety deposit box at your bank, but most definitely keep at least one copy out of the house in a separate location should the worst happen and the house burns down. Being in Australia, bushfires are common throughout the warmer months, and you just don’t want to experience losing your home and most precious photos along with it.
We have heard of couples losing their wedding photos through computer crashes and hard drive failures, so make sure you have an online and a safe physical backup.
2. Print Your Wedding Photos
Digital photos are convenient, but here’s the thing… technology is always changing. We’ve been in the wedding album design business for close to 20 years now. We were there when wedding photographers crossed over to digital photography.
Even just in 20 years, things have changed dramatically. Photographers began delivering images on CDs, then it was USBs, now computers don’t have disk drives and even my lastest Apple MacBook doesn’t have a USB port. While we encourage couples to backup and keep a digital copy of their wedding photos, we also encourage you to print your wedding photos.
Printing your photo safeguards your precious memories. The best way to preserve your wedding day memories is in a beautiful photo album.
Experiencing your wedding day through printed photos is wonderful, joyful and nostalgic. Browsing images on a computer screen just doesn’t compare with the tactile nature of a physical album that you can hold. The best part, sitting down beside your spouse, with the kids or even by yourself and just reliving the memories and transporting you back to that very special day.

Reliving your special day together as it unfolds on the pages of a wedding album
As one of the longest Australian businesses to supply wedding albums and an album design service exclusively to couples, we also have the most extensive collection of album cover finishes and personalisation options.
We started The Coffee Table Book album design business back in 2006 at a time when digital wedding photography was new. Professional wedding photographers began delivering their photography as digital images on a CD, and in years to follow DVD and USB. We have been around long enough to even watch photographer’s deliver the couple’s wedding photos through online storage platforms.
With so many digital wedding photos going out into the world, we saw a need in the Australian wedding market for couples to still be able to get their digital wedding photos printed in an quality bespoke album after their relationship with their photographer ended.
Sometimes it was because the couple’s wedding photographer didn’t supply albums or they simply just wanted alternative options for an album. Whatever the reason, we provided a solution on how couples could access professional, high quality albums direct to the general public.
Over the years the wedding album itself has evolved. From the slip-in album styles and magazine-style flushmount albums of the past, to today’s layflat photo albums and the Wedding Magazine Album a premium photobook with a contemporary softcover magazine-style quality.
