What is a bespoke Wedding Magazine?
Bespoke wedding magazines are also referred to as wedding zines or wedding photo books. A bespoke Wedding Magazine is a modern alternative to the classic wedding album. A personalised publication documenting your wedding day.
By using your photographs and words in an editorial format, a more unique and detailed story can be told of the wedding day. The Wedding Magazine has a soft cover and pages similar to a magazine you would find in a newsagent.
Zines were historically created by individuals and collectives to share content unfit for mainstream publications. Years later they are a fashion-forward, alternative yet contemporary way for couples to record their big day in print.
How many photos can I include in the Wedding Magazine?
Lots! The number of photos that will comfortably fill a Wedding Magazine comes down to a few things. Which size you choose — we offer a 100 page, 200 page and 300 page edition. Then things like how many pages are dedicated to text, how many photos are used as full-page images or across the double-page spread. Below is a general guide:
100 page Wedding Magazine : 100-200 photos
200 page Wedding Magazine : 200-450 photos
300 page Wedding Magazine : 300-600 photos
Can we include words in the Wedding Magazine?
Absolutely Yes! The Wedding Magazines are custom designed for each couple and can include photos and words. Words such as the proposal story, vows, ceremony readings, lyrics, poems, quotes as well as the guest list, the names of your wedding party and supplier credits, are a beautiful way to personalise your magazine.
We are having trouble selecting our favourite wedding photos?
No problem! We include a photo curation service as part of the Wedding Magazine purchase. We will select the best images for the first design draft. We prefer to receive the entire photo gallery as that gives us more creative freedom while designing your magazine. During the review process you have the opportunity to make changes to ensure all your favourites make it in the printed copy.
What quality/size do my wedding photos need to be?
Typically print-quality photos are 300dpi and at least 2MB or larger in size — the bigger the better. Your wedding photographer will provide you with a set of high-resolution .jpg images suitable for printing. Most professional wedding photographers these days will provide you with an online photo gallery containing the high-resolution photos, so its as simple as supplying us with the link to their gallery and we can download the photos directly.
We don’t accept photos taken on mobile phones as they typically aren’t sufficient size or quality to print.
What is the paper quality of the Wedding Magazines?
The paper in the Wedding Magazine is acid-free, archival FSC (responsibly sourced and recyled) uncoated paper with a matte finish. The cover is a heavy-weight paper stock with a soft-touch velvet lamination giving it a sofistiated matte finish.
Do you offer a photo editing service?
We do not offer a photo editing service. The majority of the couples using our album design service have used a professional wedding photographer that has already supplied edited photos. Most professional wedding photographers have contracts that protect their images under copyright laws that do not allow us to edit their photos. We print images as supplied.
Do we get to review the wedding magazine design before going to print?
Absolutely Yes, you get to review and approve your Wedding Magazine design before going to print. We will provide you with a first design draft to review. This is where you have the opportunity to make changes. Two rounds of changes are included with the purchase of every Wedding Magazine. We don’t go to print until you sign off and are 100% happy with the design.
Will my photos look different when printed on paper to how I see them on a computer or mobile screen?
Yes, images will appear different. Images when viewed on a computer monitor or mobile phone screen will appear brighter even glossy-like because the monitor/screen is luminous, reflective and back-lit in comparison to printed photos which have a flat matte finish.
Can I design my own Wedding Magazine?
No. We are a full service design studio meaning we do the job start to finish. That includes curating your photos, design the layouts and deliver the printed magazine.
Can we order more than 1 copy of our Wedding Magazine?
Yes! We highly encourage ordering at least an extra copy for yourselves as a safeguard and for archival purposes. Sharing copies of your magazine with your family make for a great thank you gift. We have already incorporated discounted pricing for bundle quantities in our online shop.
Can I get copies of our Wedding Magazine re-printed at a later date?
Yes. We archive your Wedding Magazine design so you can order additional copies at a later date. We do have discounted pricing for reprints so you don’t have to pay for the design again. Simply order your wedding magazine reprint here.
Can I get a digital version of my wedding magazine?
Yes. A digital wedding magazine can be added to your printed magazine order or you can also order the digital wedding magazine as a standalone product HERE.
The digital magazine is a flip-book style online copy of your wedding magazine design that can be viewed 24/7 and easily share with your family and friends.
How much does a bespoke Wedding Magazine cost?

On placing your Wedding Magazine order, an email letting you know how to submit your images along with a questionnaire will be sent to you. This will allow you to provide us with all your unique wedding details to help personalise your Wedding Magazine.
How long will it take to receive my Wedding Magazine?
Please allow 10-15 days for the first draft. The timeline for receiving your printed Wedding Magazines is dependent on how many rounds of changes there are. Once you are 100% happy and approve your wedding magazine design it will go into production to be printed. Please allow 2-3 weeks for manufacture and delivery. We need our Wedding Magazine in a hurry. Do you offer a priority service?
Manufacture of the Wedding Magazine needs to allow a certain timeframe for the ink to dry before, trimming, assembly & binding. Also the magazine cover needs time for the ink and lamination to dry before they can be trimmed, scored and bound to the internal pages. These are important steps in the manufacture process and can’t be sped up in order for us to retain the high-quality magazines we offer.
However, we are now offering a priority service to jump to the head of the cue to design your Wedding Magazine which does incur an additional charge as set out here. The priority service does not impact the manufacture process as aforementioned. The priority service just enables jumping to the head of the queue in the design stage and speeds up the delivery.

What is the shelf life of the Wedding Magazine?
The guarantee for our Wedding Magazines only extends to them being delivered in good condition. Simply because after that we have no control on how they are handled. Please keep in mind they perform like any magazine you would buy in a newsagent. Therefore, dog ears from turning pages is a characteristic of the Wedding Magazine and something we feel reflects the magazine has been enjoyed and loved.
The Wedding Magazines are packaged in a box for shipping and can be continued to be stored in the box. We suggest ordering a spare so that way one can be left on your coffee table while the spare is stored in the box for safekeeping.
We retain the artwork for your wedding magazine design in our archives for an unlimited timeframe, therefore reprints of your wedding magazine can be ordered at any time.
What if my printed Wedding Magazine arrives damaged?
Our Wedding Magazines are printed and manufactured with the utmost care and aim to deliver them in perfect condition. In the rare instant your magazine(s) arrive damaged, contact us upon receiving your order explaining the issue along with photos to show the damage, and we will endeavour to make it right.
What if I receive my Wedding Magazine and there is a printing error?
If your Wedding Magazine(s) aren’t as you would expect due to our mistake, such as defective workmanship, please email us immediately explaining the issue along with photo evidence and we will investigate. If we deem there has been an error and we are at fault, we will replace the product as soon as possible at no further cost to you.
However, if you discover a spelling error or any other error in the printed magazine(s) after approving the design, unfortunately it is too late to change it. This is why we have a rigid online review process in place to give you ample opportunity to review the design, proof read and make any changes. We don’t go to print until the design is approved by you.
If you have received your magazine(s) and missed picking up an error, then we are happy to help rectify the issue and reprint the magazine(s) for a discounted replacement cost at 25% off the retail price.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
The design process begins as soon as your non-refundable deposit is paid. This includes curating the image gallery and designing layouts, time behind the scenes committed to creating your Wedding Magazine. And for that reason we cannot cancel your order unless received within 24 hours of placement of order. Because each wedding magazine is custom made to order we do not offer refunds.
