You’re getting married and never planned a big event, let alone a wedding before. It can be daunting just the thought of planning your wedding! There’s are a lot of moving parts to coordinate and it can definitely be stressful when most of us will only plan our wedding day once!
Here are a few tips to help you navigate planning a stress-free wedding.
CEREMONY & RECEPTION IN THE SAME LOCATION OR CLOSE BY
One way to avoid some of the stress on the actual wedding day is by keeping everything in the same location or at least close by so there is minimal travel.
All-in-one venues where everything happens in one place that have onsite accommodation for the bridal party, space for the ceremony as well as the reception, are more likely to keep you on schedule and perfect for stress-free weddings.
This also benefits your guests. Once your guests arrive for the ceremony they don’t need to leave the ceremony to find something to do to fill in time while the bridal party is off having photos before the reception. A much more relaxed day for everyone.
The more time you have driving around to different locations, the more chance of something going wrong or slowing you down, for example traffic or getting lost.
DON’T CRAM TOO MUCH INTO ONE DAY
The less things to do, the smoother the day will flow. Plus always plan for everything to take longer that you expect!
Make sure you check with all your suppliers as to how long their job will take. Remember they do this every week so take on board there advice. Most photographers will help you create a timeline too. And remember to add a buffer to those times!
PLAN AHEAD
Be well organised by laying everything you need out early in the morning ready to go. Especially any of the bride/groom details that your photographer will need to photograph. Also make sure there is a tidy, clean area near window light for your photographer to photograph your details.
Every couple intends for their wedding to be as stress-free as possible, and with a little bit of planning, you can make your big day run more smoothly.
